Dr. Xiongwei Zhu originally hails from China, where he graduated from Wuhan University with an M.S. in biochemistry.

He received a Ph.D. from the Department of Pathology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he currently works as a Professor of Pathology and Neurology as well as the University Director of Neurodegeneration Training Program at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Zhu’s research focuses on what causes neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related diseases.
