Dr. Raffals completed her residency and chief residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. She received her Master’s in Health Studies and completed her gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of Chicago, and for six years was a member of the faculty. In 2011, she joined the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division at Mayo Clinic, where she is a member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease interest group. Her primary research interests include the interactions of gastrointestinal dysmotility, the intestinal bacterial community, and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Raffals’ practice focuses on the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, pouchitis, and pouch dysfunction.
