Anita Afzali, MD, is a gastroenterologist and medical director at the Ohio State University Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center. Her research is guided by a sense of compassion towards her patients, focusing on improving IBD therapy outcomes. A forerunner in her field, Dr. Afzali served a leading role in the development of the Northwest's first pediatric to adult IBD transition clinic.
